Running off of onboard sound for now...it'll be that way until I upgrade the sound system, and I'll go from there.
How's the sound quality? Are you happy with it? I tried running onboard at first, but I just had way too many problems. The soundcard's output level was too low, so I had to turn my gains all the way up and that introduced distortion. I tried throwing in a line driver, but that gave me all sorts of noise that I wasn't able to get rid of.

After everything, I dished out the cash for the h701, and now I can say that I'm happy. If I would have known how great of a piece of equipment it is, I would have stuck with it from the beginning.

The output is very good actually, compared to the stock radio's output.

My amp is putting out about 120w total power, 30w/speaker. Gain is right around 1/2 and the most I'll turn up the system volume is about 15 out of 100. Speaker volume is set to the middle in the advanced settings.

I'm eventually going to upgrade the soundcard so I can go optical with XM //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

What are you waiting for then? lol...i know it's tough to get yourself to finally start installing everything, because once you start, you can't stop until your finished. When I put mine in, i just pulled an all nighter and installed everything.

Lol, I don't know if I'll ever be finished with mine. I finally bought the parts I need to glass the screen bezel into the dash //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Glassings the hard part...luckily for me, there is someone out there that makes bezels specifically for putting 7" screens into my car, so i lucked out.

As for being finished, ditto...there's always something to add or change. I'm gonna be changing my screen tonight for when i throw in my back up cam cuz the one i have doesn't autoswitch. If it's not my carputer it's my speakers, bud, amps, or subs....but somethings always on its way to my house.

WRX or 350Z? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Shouldn't be too bad for the glassing...it's really just filling gaps and sanding, not much glassing to do at all...might just use the liquid plastic stuff
