Carpent in vent?!?!?!?!?!?!

I have two 15 L7 in a 12 cubic foot vented box. The vent on this thing is huge (7.5" wide x 20.5" tall) and i think it would look nice if i carpeted in it. Is this a bad idea or will it not make that much a difference?

paint it white, then put a led in your box if you worried about how it will look

I highly doubt that unless you're doing serious competing that the extra friction and turbulence will be noticeable. I wouldn't do it personally, but with that much output, you probably won't tell unless you're building it to be able to get as loud as possible.

you can use carpet, it could change the tuning to a lower tuning freq by just a hair. but i doubt that youll notice a diffrence as long as you dont use anything like wool or any thick carpet try to use the thinest carpet you can find. and you would be ok.

My opinion

unless you are chasing tenths, carpeting the port makes the box look MUCH nicer, and you wont notice a difrerence.
