The older I get the better friends my folks and I become.

As well the older I get the smarter I realize my parents are.

My dad's probably the best friend I have in the world outside of my wife. There are things he knows that are the result of wisdom gained with age that you just cannot put a price on that wisdom being passed on.

You're 21 or thereabouts, is that right?

That's pretty normal for that timeframe in your life, I would suggest. In my late teens/early 20s I didn't have much use for my parents either as that was when I was just beginning to find my own way in the world and cared nothing for anyone telling me much of anything. (still that "I know more than you do and I'll prove it!"-syndrome that I have since realized just how wrong I really was) I've found now that I'm in my 30s, however, a solid relationship with the parentals holds much higher value to me.

You can now send a warning directly to an offending poster should the post in question necessitate it. I have no clue what happens to a constant offender once they have racked up X amount of warnings, though...None of the mods have shared that tidbit of info with me yet.
