Northeast Region Car show and Sound Off, Worcester Mass

This show was a joke. I was told my a majority of the guys that showed up that they only showed up cause they thought I was hosting it, wish I was. I thought I had made it clear that NESPL was not part of this show. The event promoter screwed everyone over by cutting the number of trophies from 25 to 16 at the last minute. This forced the shop that was doing the metering to cut classes and merge people into classes they should never have been placed into. And then they were forced to cut the 3rd place trophies and only hand out trophies to 1st and 2nd place.

There were no rules set up, so they let one guy compete in two different classes with the same vehicle, all because he switched boxes from two 12's to one 12 and paid to do two classes. This will NOT happen at any NESPL event, I will be editing the rules on our website to make sure people realize this. With NESPL, If you compete you will not be allowed to swap equipment in order to change classes. Sorry to anyone that showed up thinking NESPL was hosting this, we were merely helping them promote the show to SPL competitors in hopes of having a good independent show. Maybe next season they'll smarten up an have us run the show.

well said. I agree, it was a poorly run show.

btw, do you know what the 1st and 2nd 3-12 or 2-15 class scores were at? I had to split to go pick up this.

I was kinda miffed when they muffed the meter on my 2nd run. ( after waitng for horny people who couldnt decide if they should drive up or not)

and I still have a headache.

They were using the AC190 at the glass. I didn't really notice the other numbers. I know Keith from Renots was a 158, those Brazillian guys that were switchin boxes were doing a 149 with the 2 12's and a 144 with the single 12. They were reading off the scores when they handed out the trophies, but I was pissed off at the show promoters by that point and walked away as soon as I got mine so I didn't hear what everyone else got.

It didn't help where they couldn't figure out how to get the meter to hold the peak score and they kept playing with it. Almost everyone was 2 db's higher than normal, by the time I got up my numbers were maybe .5 db's higher. I did a 149.3 at the glass, on my TL I'm doing high 148's.

Yea. That other Regular SPL guy (the JL guy) was telling me how they had the sensitivity tweeked on certain runs. And asked them if they were gonna tweek his run or what (sacasam)

I think he told them what he wanted for a score, again being sarcasm.

Reminds my off those stories of car audio shops hosting events using walmart boom sticks.

I think maybe 15 cars at the most, and maybe another 10 or 15 of those annoying *** horn type cars. As soon as my SPL run was done I walked to the other end of the show so I wouldn't have to listen to those ones.
sorta expected that one, probably the cheapest ones they sell on ebay too.

horns on low pow can be nice if ran properly, but of course you just end up with the morons who are intentionally trying to piss people off.
