go to ebay and get a stinger HPM 1 farad with digital read out for 99 bucks with free shipping... Whatever u do check ebay first they can outsmoke the comp.Most people here will tell you to do the big three and or just upgrade your alt...etc...Hey if the cap works for you great as long as your happy dude.Be well.

Instead of starting this week's capacitor thread, maybe you could hit that search button and read last week's capacitor thread, or the one from the week before that, or maybe one of the other twelve thousand threads on capacitors that can be found on this forum alone.

wow all the nonsense in this thread is gonna make me cry. do not buy a battery instead of the cap. improve your electrical system, ie big 3 > alt, then add a second battery

OK im adding a second battery for sure but do i add it in my hood and just connect the new battery to my trucks main battery or do i hook the second battery up to my amp in the backseat just by its self i know many people do this but doesnt it drain after a while

first off sweetie you need an electrical system that will support 2 batteries and a stereo. that second battery won't charge by itself, so that is why you need to upgrade the big 3 and alt before you add a second battery

engine running power=alternator. parking lot listening, engine off=battery. you're adding work to the alternator by adding something for it to charge. the way i see it is you're gonna end up with a alternator either way. either a new one now or a new one when yours burns out in a year.
