first off sweetie you need an electrical system that will support 2 batteries and a stereo. that second battery won't charge by itself, so that is why you need to upgrade the big 3 and alt before you add a second batteryOK im adding a second battery for sure but do i add it in my hood and just connect the new battery to my trucks main battery or do i hook the second battery up to my amp in the backseat just by its self i know many people do this but doesnt it drain after a while
engine running power=alternator. parking lot listening, engine off=battery. you're adding work to the alternator by adding something for it to charge. the way i see it is you're gonna end up with a alternator either way. either a new one now or a new one when yours burns out in a year.OK im adding a second battery for sure but do i add it in my hood and just connect the new battery to my trucks main battery or do i hook the second battery up to my amp in the backseat just by its self i know many people do this but doesnt it drain after a while
