Cant run interiors and sub, help!

Hello guys Recently got around to upgrading the sound system in my car, i replaced interiors with 3way 6 1/2's and 5way 6-9 rears. I have a 600w 4 channel amp i want to run my interiors, the 1100w amp is running 2 12's in the trunk. I have the deh-xx6500bt pioneer headunit, that has 2 sets of rca outputs one for sub one rear. When set to rear/sub on my hu menu i get bass but no interior. When set to sub/sub its the same thing. When set to rear/rear i get nothing. Now if set in rear/rear and i plug the rca from my sub amp to my interior amp they actually play music and work. Now i know your thinking my rear rca outputs may not be working properly. But i have the exact same hu in the wifes car, few months old. I swapped them out and am having the same results as the first headunit. Leading me to beleive there are slim chances both had busted rear rca parts. I dont know much about the settings on the interior amp, ive only had one for a sub, but everything appears to be right. If anyone has a suggestion id be happy to try it! I just want my system working, thanks !

I tried every combination i could think of to get both working at the same time. Am i able to plug into 2 reds, or 2 whites? The only time i managed both working i was getting voice from the subs. I figured ill need a spliter at the amp end as its 4 input for all 4 channels

Dont know if this matters, but i only have 1 6/9 speaker hooked to the amp, as to test before full install. The rest of the speakers are hooked to the hu. Not sure if its reading them and not allowing threw amp idk. Doesnt explain why it works in rear/rear ONLY when hooked into the sub side of rca output. I have this feeling im missing something simple.

you will need 2 spliter single male to 2 female. Insert them into front output. These will go to the 4 channel amp for interiors speakers. you can do single female to 2 male also if easier and split at amp. But I definately think you have your channels flipped. Then run 1 set RCAs to the sub amp. Did you look at all of the diagrams in the manual? You definaley need splitters. But with that you wont be able to fade at HU between front rear but you can set that up at amp in tuning of gains.

My only options for changing the outputs are rear/rear sub/sub rear/sub. The interiors only work when hooked to the sub output when its set to rear/rear. However im pretty sure when set to rear/rear the subs hooked to same sub output played only voice, and very little bass. Doea the hu realize ive split the sub output and gives each what it needs?

OK on that HU you should be able to have 1 set of RCA's running to a sub amp via the sub out on the HU with LPF & level adjustments through your HU... The other set should be full range or select-able HPF settings... If it's NOT feeding full / HPF signal through the other set of RCA's then go into the Main Menu of your HU & check the settings (HU OFF - Push & hold dial until menu comes up & check settings) You will need to get 2 RCA - Y splitters for the 4 ch amp if it doesn't allow 2ch input for all 4 channels...

On the Back of the Headunit not inthe menu Physically remove the headunit and look

Read the manual

I sent you the link to the manual in first post. You need to look at all the ways Because you can use internal amp or external like you have. You need to pat attention to which wires are going where since the HU has features that need certain things in the right spot.

Amp needs 4input for all 4 channels to work yes, but im just using one speaker so i just need the one set. And yes my rca is plugged to the same channel my speaker is =)

Rcas are fine, i have a few sets, none of wich changed the outcome. Tommy up there was very helpful and explained it a little more, but didnt really find a solution other than i may only be able to power one set of speakers with my amp or a new hu. Turns out the 2 sets of rcas are front and rear/sub, im still not able to get both sub and interiors to work running off amps.
