Cant Decide!

Okay so I know I had a thread similar to this but since then I've spent quite a bit of time looking at different 18's and I've narrowed choices down to the Psi Platform 3, Zcon, X3, Hdd or a preowned unused DD 9518i. I'm having trouble pulling the trigger on one. I want to run it in a 1/4 wave Tline or a vented enclosure. Space won't be an issue for this enclosure.

I will be running one of them in a 03 blazer. For a little while it'll be on 1500w until I get the electrical in better shape then it will be running at 2.5k.

As far as what I want from this system I want something that is going to do really well with lows but still has a decent range. Eventually I'm going to pick up another amp to push 5k and another 18 but I just got the blazer and want to get something in it soon.

If anyone has experience with more than one of these subs and has a preference any help would be appreciated.

Im open to suggestions outside of what I've already thrown out there. If something better suited to my needs can get custom built for around the same price as these subs I'd definitely like to hear about it. Thanks all

Is that the Sundown X you're talking about?

Really, you can't go wrong with any of those, other than the sundown x if they haven't fixed the glue issues yet.

See I've heard the X and I felt it crushed lows but didn't quite have range outside that. Otherwise yea that would be the obvious choice.

From what I've heard it's designed and meant to be used primarily as an SPL competition subwoofer more than anything.

Can't go wrong with Digital Designs. Since you're looking at the 9500 series, why not one of the new 9918's? 1500 watts is enough to get either of them going, but they'll definitely be craving more power which is good if you're intentions are to upgrade to 2500 watts. If it were me, I'd lean towards the DD. However, once my SSA XCON arrives, I might have a new favorite sub manufacturer, especially with their prices! I'm excited to be receiving it, but the wait is KILLING ME. That's another thing to take into consideration if you're wanting something as soon as possible; the build time for SSA products isn't quick by any means.

Well I will be able to get the 9500 for 550 but the 9918 I would have to buy directly from dd which would cost way more than I want to spend. When I say I want to get something in it quick I mean I don't want to wait around until I have the money to buy the second 18 and another amp. Plus I'm going to have to wait a week or two before I put anything in the blazer anyway but just to have something ordered will be nice so as for the SSA wait time I'm not too concerned. Thanks!
