Can't decide. JL C5 650 or ID CXS64 v.2

I ran the C5s for over a year. Barley put any power to them and I loved them. The tweeter never seemed overly bright (could be because I didn't use a ton of power though), the mids were pretty solid and will probably be enough for you.. The the mid-range was the sweet spot on the speakers though. Switched to an all ID set up that blows it out of the water (which of course is a ton more work and a lot more money to get right). For your tweeter, don't make an opinion on size of the tweeter. Look at sensitivity for loudness (if thats your concern) or the type of material for a basis of sound. (I.E., silk is typical a smooth tweeter while metal based ones are harsh typically)

I would take this post over to a forum where people actually know what they are talking about. These guys are messing with you, and the ones bashing JL just bash it because everyone else on here says it is over-priced and not worth it. I bet 90% of them never actually ran JL stuff. Wouldn't be surprised if most never even ran ID stuff. (Which by the way, if you make some connects you can get JL pretty cheap compared to MSRP, that's how I ended up running it).

Which ID set are you runnin and how much power are you giving them? And by a ton more work you mean getting them to fit and sound deadening? I have a similar thread at diyma but it's not getting a lot of feedback. One member responded and says he loves the c5 comps.
