Can this work?

We all know Pioneer HU's are notorious for faulty pico fuses.

The most common cure is re-grounding the RCA's behind the HU.

My question is, can you re-ground it on the amp side? I saw SethPhillips do a small write-up on how he wrapped wire around the outside of an RCA, solder it onto the outside of the shield, then ran it back and and grounded it somewhere.

I was wondering if that would work on the amp-side of the RCA?

I mean, a ground is a ground afterall...

I believe the purpose of doing this is to pick up EMF leakage and return it to the source. So it would only work in one direction, i.e. grounding to the headunit.

I may be 100% sure on that though.

It makes sense... but I lost the little clips for my HU and I can't find them ANYWHERE. I even took out the seats to my car. =\
