Doesn't really matter, you could stop paying today and they could not come after you for a single dime. It's your mom's neck on the line, not yours. And frankly, with you being signed as the primary responsibility on the loan, if you stopped paying them your mom could take them to court and argue (with a good chance of winning) that the loan was null and void from the moment it was signed because you can not enter into a contract. The co-signer is guarantying the repayment of the debt, and if the debt is in violation of law, they can't enforce it.
