can i take batcap in airplane baggage?

i am flying from texas to florida in 2 days via southwest airlines.

my buddy gave me his batcap, can i check this in the baggage (not carry on) and not have it confiscated?

any rules against traveling in airplane with car batteries?

You can take a gun in the airport pretty sure you could probably take a battery. Just let them know it is a sealed battery

I've carried 7Ah gel-cells on planes before, you should be fine.

true. but would **** to lose a battery over a misconception that a sealed battery could be a bomb or some dangerous advice. but i say you call and ask if it is possible that way you know for sure.

Better be safe than sorry, call the airline and ask. I did for when I am going to take tools with me to LA they were fine with it as long as I am not trying to carry them on.
