Can I do this?

Alpine makes an AI-net adapter that ends in RCA jacks - then you use an RCA-to-1/8" stereo plug cable to connect to the Ipod. RadioShack sells those for $7.
Oops I read it wrong, so your saying I buy the Net adapter thing, it fits in that cord slot? And then the end is RCA ?

yep. it plugs into the back of your hu into the cd changer port. it will only fit one place and only go in one way. then just change your source to the changer and it will play the audio from your ipod. this will not charge the ipod, only using the usb connection will.

I got a cheap ai-net adapter off eBay that has a standard headphone Jack on the other end instead of RCAs. I think it was like 15 shipped. It's generic, but works decently. The ai-net does add noise to the system though. That's one reason I took my Alpine out o my car and got the Pioneer. Even with the KCA-420i I had background hiss.
