so your main wire is 4 gauge and you want to run 4 gauge to ur amps too. first off what are the amps? and if you think that the amps need 4 gauge wire you should really upgrade the wire coming from the batter to a thicker size. and please don't use tape take 10-20 dollars and get a d block.

Actually, yes, something is likely to happen. If the tape becomes loose, and the power wire grounds to the car chassis, it will drain your battery quick at the best, hurt your amp, or even spark enough to catch the carpet its underneath on fire. Nothing says i love you like an interior fire. You can get a distro from walmart for 8 dollars mang. Your car is worth at least 8 dollars. Seriously.
