I have heard from a few people that i can do this and i have heard from a few others that i cant do it

heres my problem

i am getting a 15'' TC Sounds Uberwoofer, and its a dual voice coil, and i was wondering it is possible to hook up my two amps to it (2 mono channel pioneer 800w amps)?

if i can do it let me know how

ps.

i plan on getting two new, better amps at xmas... i was just hoping i could do this to get me buy for now

thanks for the advice

peace

Wait untill christmas and get 1 amp.

Its not like you cant do it, it will work.

Its just not the best thing ever.

As long as the gains are set correctly and the amps are recieving the same signal you could probably get away with it

I'm sorry officer, I.. I didnt know I couldnt do that.

... yes you can, but as sups said gains have to be exactly equal, you'll need, at the least, a multimeter to do it correctly.

As stated, if you get new amps for Christmas, just get a single - high powered - one. It's generally cheaper to go this route, and you don't have to worry about matching two amps exactly, as to not hurt your subwoofer.

well i was thinking of getting two PG 1200.1 Xenon amps for xmas.... and then i might get new subs.. because its going to be hard to set my gains exact... because i dont have any fancy tools.... but i know that i could get them pretty close... but this is a good sub.. i dont think that i should risk it.... but i know that running it off one 800w amp... that prolly wont even be worth it because its a high powers sub.. 3000RMS alone.. and 800w would flinch it

would it be better to try two amps.. or just do one for now?

Why not just get a single Orion 2500D?

everyone tells me that.. but i live in canada.. and i dont think that i could afford one.. my dads said that he will spend.. 600$... and i know that them amps are worth more

if its not to much hasle.. coul;d you look into pricing for one of them in canadain dollars and where to get one

thanks

shit thats a cheap deal on that amp.... but i know forsure that my dad wont order one... thats why i want to get two 1200.1 Xenon... i think that them amps would be ight.. i would be gettin 2400 watts... well close to that because i know that they aint 100% efficient... thanks for the advice....i would love to get that orion... but man thats alot of hasle to get that amp.. is there anyt dealers up here in canada that i could get one off of?

peace

not sure if you're interested, but you can get a refurb 2500d from ikesound for $355 plus shipping. They will ship international, but you have to call them ahead of time and figure out shipping as well as payment (only take american credit cards online I believe).

They also sell new 2500d's but I'm not sure the price, you have to call to get a quote.
