i got a hifonics 1606 wired two two ohm( pulling 1100 watts in theory) with 4 gauge wiring, can i put a little run of 8 gauge and a small Rockford 90x2 in for my tweets or do i need to wait and get a bat first(not just stock electrical but stock bat, as well)?

I have a run of 4 gauge in my car can I use a distro block and run 8 guage to each of my amps (One 800 watt one 200 watt) or will that not be good enough for my 800 watt amp?

you won't fry the comp, but you probably want to go ahead and run a 1/0 as jco said

this is the same qustion im asking kinda man. run a new run of 8 gauge for your tweet amp and try to kill the bat. that is what im going to do as long as more guys say i wont fry the comp in car. **** this bat. if it dies then im forced to get a yellow top=)

1k total should be ok with one run of 4 awg.

but for OP, you should upgrade to 1/0 then use a distro block and run 4 awg to each.

For a short time, before I put in 2/0, I had one run of 4 awg going the back, then two runs of 4 awg from distro block going to amps, running 1500 rms +.... but its not a good idea for a permanent setup.

ahhhh....

*epiphany* you want to leave the 4awg and run additional 8awg........

if you are going to pull the carpet and trim, you might as well pull the wire and replace it with the good stuff

1/0 gague is on the way!!! and the big three set up aswell, will be another month on bat tho, i was just wanting to do it now because i got the amp tweets and new hu, so i kinda just want to thro them in and hear it instead of waiting on tweets for the bat when i have everything but the new bat
