i made payments on my car... i own it now...so how is making payments not owning? that makes no sense.. if u leased it i would understand what hes saying but other wise thats retarded.

Either way it is borrowing your own money and paying for the privilege.

Even if you make payments on the car you still own it provided its not leased. The title has your name on it. If its leased the title goes to the lien holder until its paid off or turned in.

Also, the title is in my lockbox, with MY name on it. Thanks for your concern though. It also isnt my only car, just my daily driver.

You really are a fool huh? When you pay cash there is no interest involved and no lien on your title, bud. There is also a difference between "payments" and "payment" that difference is one is singular and the other plural (meaning more than one). Not to mention your buying/bargaining leverage when paying with cash. I've had payments on cars years ago and have since learned that paying interest and retail price are just plain stupid. When you finance a vehicle you cant sell it easily, usually because the value of it will be less than whats owed.
