I've had this amp for a little over a year. It's powered a few subs along the way and has served me well.
This was a refurbished unit I bought on Ebay. It had noticable physical damage, but was refurbished and fully functional. However, something was missed that I didn't notice till after I had it a little bit. The Protection circuitry isn't fully repaired or was simply overlooked. The amp is protection happy. Under low power, at a specific output level, the proection mode will be triggered. It's very specific and repeatable. If I were to guess on the wattage point, I'd say 10-15 watts, basically just above quiet listening levels. It's triggered almost always and is very specific and repeatable. However, there's a work around. You pretty much have to force a high output load. You crank up the sub volume and force it to play a couple loud beats. If it doesn't go into protect, it will function normally and fully till you turn it off again. If it goes into protect, you turn it off(turn HU off and back on) and back on and force a strong beat out of it. After you do so, the goofy protection mode doesn't trigger. It's goofy. It's annoying. I have no clue why it does it. I've simply lived with it for over a year of daily use. The amp does function normally and fully short the goofy protection thing.
