So Im looking for some inexpensive speakers and some of you recommended cadence. So looking around I found these 8" speakers. I would think they would offer more mid bass than a 6.5". Their also inexpensive at under $50 shipped. So whats your opinions looking at the specs? Would I need to put them in boxes?

4 50 bucks they will hard to be beat i would jump on them. i have rarely disappointed with cadence equipment. yes the 8's will feel louder due to more surface area.

Should I use these as my front speakers with a single 10" sub, or, use these components: Polk Audio DB6501, and put these 2 8's in the rear in boxes for some decent bass?
