I had a pair of these massive 6x9 located on rear deck back dash. They where not working to anybodys standards. They where getting about 130 watts a side from steg k4.02. I have seen these speakers perfoming well on u tube but they where in sealed 6x9 box. Do i need more power to these speakers specs say 150 watts a side . Specs are not true all the time do i need to be feeding these speakers lot more power because they are mounted in rear deck .They have huge magnet and crossover with them

No, if you cant hear them, its the speaker or amp with the problem, 130 watts for a 6x9 is a decent amount of power. My friend has the same complaint with his rears saying that he cant hear them, but when you are in the front seat, you aren't supposed to hear them very much, it is more for the rear passengers. I have a 12 speaker system in my car and when i fade out the rear speakers, I hear little to to no change when I'm driving but the people in the back notice it a lot. If you really wanted to hear them well, build a box and move them closer to you or add more power. I recently installed two 6.5 with 60 RMS each on a rear shelf and they are very loud in the backseat

I understand what you are saying . The problem is not that i cant here them its they sound bad. How i check on the music they are playing is turn off subs with deck then but fader to rear 6x9. Anybody have experience with these speakers

what kind of amp you have hooked up to them, also, what gauge of wire are you using? If you have sub with A LOT of power it might be that the vibrations are messing with them but idk. Sounds like loose wiring somewhere. One other thing i can think of but its unlikely, if you have you amps side by side with the circuit boards parallel to each other, the massive current through an inductor in the amp could maybe send off a magnetic field to an inductor in the opposite amp, inducing extra current through it and distorting sound. I would start by trying to hook up another amp and test them. Try to isolate every component in your chain to make sure everything is working properly.

My amps where mounted on amp racks on wheel wells in trunk . Two off them there was close two 4' distance between them .Hoping this is ok . I hooked up another amp and still poor sound quality had filters off and used the crossovers with the 6x9 do the sound processing still poor performance. Probably two things not tuned right or need more power cadence cvls 69 are huge speakers. I plane on using my old amp rack again that mount on wheel wells is this ok

I believe I know which speakers your talking about. They have 2" voice coils and can really take some power. But I believe the overall Qts of the speakers is what made this speaker hard to use. The Qts is high (being conducive of a free air speaker) but in actuality it performs better in a sealed enclosure. I have seen people use a baffle behind the speaker to help control the cone, and it seems to work well in door mounting locations. But this is just a suggestion.

Wow i am not that knowledgeable in car audio two understand what that means . So basically when i get them installed again make sure its tuned by professionals lots of power try with out enclosure if no luck but them in a enclosure. How to do this when they are mounted in rear dash

Characteristics of the speakers you use are pretty much static, and can't be changed. But that doesn't mean you can't change the environment which the speaker is in to make it more suitable for the speaker you are using. It could be a lot more work than you are willing to do. And that's okay. Make a list of all the things you would like for your speakers to do for you, and you may find out that the speaker you have chosen is not the right fit for you. And that's cool, you have lots of choices out there, and don't have to stick to just one choice. That's the funnest part of audio, trying and experimenting to find the right setup for you. I kinda run this into the ground with other members, but a good place to start would be a local car audio show. It will give you a close up and personal experience with lots of different brands and setups.
