BX1800D or BX2200D for XXX15?

From what I heard from most people they are really good. You are even using one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Get the 1800d, I mean honestly guys think about it....The amp is rated for 1800w at 1 ohm, while the sub is rated ideally at 1600w. EVEN if the amp put out 200w less than what it was supposed to (which is highly unlikely), it'd still be a perfect, cheap match for that sub.

If you want a great money for power ratio, go with Hifonics amps man. You won't be disappointed.

EDIT: That XXX could probably take the 2200 just fine, all you would have to do is be careful with the gain.

ya might look into other brands hifonics loses their bang for the buck factor in my book with their "super" class d's (the ones your reffering to).

if you want to go pretty cheap i would look at the visonik v800hc or v900hc i got my v800hc for ghetto cheap refurbed from ebay it works awsome, looks nice, has a fan, and has power to spare running my 4 mtx 8000's mine was 240 shipped, great deal!!!

check out http://stores.ebay.com/www-cmttrading-com_W0QQsspagenameZl2QQtZkm

if your interested, just "search" for visonik, their store is all unorganized

rofl @ the fact hes using a brutus.. i used to own a brutus and i was pretty unhappy with it.. i would also suggest a better amp..
im getting rid of my hifonics and getting a Elemental Designs NINe.1 amplifier really soon...

and trust me thats the last thing you wanna do...is thinking that your saving money on a cheap amp...i thought the same way but in the end your goin to want a better quality amp...so spend the extra money and you wont have to buy another amp when the time comes...

Good move. I went from a brutus 1500 to the 9.1, happy with the switch. Nothing really wrong with the hifonics (though I doubt it does its rated power) just seems like more and more people are having trouble with them all the time. Gotta love the 3 year warranty on the ED, too.

Even if the puts out 200 watts less, you wouldnt notice it. The human ear cannot detect changes in volume that small. Between 1600 watts, and 1800 watts, only a machine could tell the difference. Besides. 1600 watts for 350 dollars (woofers etc)? Can anyone else beat that?

ok im confused. in your sign you have a magnum.

but you're looking for an amp to power an XXX? whats goin on? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

in any case, we had a Magnum hooked up to a Brutus 1500d and it sounded absolute *** and muddy. we then hooked it back up to my buddy's RFbd1500 and it sounded a whole lot better. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

say no to the Brutus kids //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Something was wrong with that amp then JTmoney, either human error (a x-over setting possibly) or it was broken. Amplifiers are just that, amplifiers. They should not effect the sound quality of an application whatsoever.

As I said in your other thread (double posting = //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif ), the difference between 1800w and 2200w will not be audible. Save your money and just go for the 1800w (between those two options). Or, save even more money and go for the 1500w like everyone else.

yeh, its a Brutus, thats whats wrong with it. without getting into he richard clark $10,000 challenge cr@p, i know it sounded nowhere near as good and controlled as it did on an RFbd1500. and the fact that i am not the only one who found it lacking on several forums, perhaps goes to show that you get what you pay for.

dont take my word for it. buy it. try it. but dont say i didnt tell you.

the end. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
