Buying online Vs Dealer Buy. what you suggest

ok i was going to buy online

ALPINE TYPE X 12" SUBWOOFER (2)

ALPINE PDX 1.1000 AMPLIFIER (2)

ALPINE DECK (CDA-9856)

5.0F CAPACITOR (you stated 20farads.. i thought it was like .5farads each 500watts or so)

4-Guage Wiring kit provided by them (2)

Alternator (still deciding on what kind)

Dual 12" Ported Box

anyways i called up my local audio shop and had a talk with a professional and i was going to order the pair of alpine subs and amp off the internet since it was cheaper but then he got into detail of if this and that happen to the subs, would they be able to warrenty that and would i be able to cover shipping for a 20lb+ item. but he actually talked into printing out the prices and bringing them to the store to see how low he can go for the works or i pay what their price is and just cut out everything else such as install, wiring etc.

basically the overall price is either in the $2500+ - $3000

well if i blow it.. i will want it replaced then having to pay for a whole nother item

depeding on how you buy it from that may tricky. also just because you buy from a shop doesn't mean that place isn't shady either. check with alpine to see if this local dealer is authorized. the only online alpine dealer i believe is still only crutchfield
