Alright Im looking for a tonneau cover for my 94 ford f-150...if im really lucky i'll find one for my truck online used or not...but I doubt that will happen...i've called a local dealer who deals A.R.E. and snugtop and they dont have any in stock but do make one for truck both companies make atleast one top for my truck...but the thing is a new tonneau cover would be around 1 grand...is it worth it? im looking to do a blow-through...but what if i dont do it? did I just make a dumb purchase?

I'm assuming you are wanting a hard tonneau cover then? Even if you want to do a cut through, a hard one isn't really necessary, it just adds a touch more security.

I've known people who have done cut throughs with a soft cover. It makes it a ton easier to work on a setup or if you ever plan on carrying large objects in the bed ever again.

yea...iono I was leaning towards the hard covers because of there looks...but i found a pace edwards jackrabbit retractable cover for around 650...no drill or anything...know anything about those?

cause its worth it. someday when i am ready to cut up my new truck, i will have a blow through.
parents dont want me to do it...but I told them i really didnt plan on selling this truck anways...once it goes to shit I would take all my equipment out and get another truck....do ya'll reccomend a shop doing it? and if so how much does it normally run...or what If I know a guy who built my box and is pretty knowledged...he said he's done them before...and could do it pretty cheap...

It's not that hard to do.

Mark out your cutout lines with some tape, double checking that the lines you lay out will leave enough edge to attach the accordian boot to both the cab wall and the bed wall. The most sure way would be to lay it out on the bed, since the bed floor will usually be higher than the cab floor.

If you want to go the cost-saving route, you can get a soft cover. Then to make absolutely sure that your box won't get damaged from rain or other liquids, you can cover the outside of the box with bedliner.
