Buying a 94 Audi S4!!! Any other C4 S4/S6 owners out there?

Picked it up for $4100 this morning //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Notice the corrosion on the rim of the wheels. Luckily, that part of the wheels is unpainted, as only the center and spokes have a layer of clearcoat on them. Thus, I plan on sanding them down to their original chrome finish //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Took me forever to find out why only the links, not the pics were showing up *sigh*

99-02.5 is my fav body style the b5
I love 'em all! But think of this rather as an S6, because that's what it became. It's much larger than an S4

Basically, it was built on the Audi 100 platform, where they named it the S4. Then, the 100 became the A6, so they changed the S4's name to S6 (and a few itty bitty other changes). Weird, huh?

Mine just blew its oil pump today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif It had an oil leak at the valve cover, which would lead me to believe that it stressed the pump to failure after the previous owner drove it that way for so long.

Valve cover leak leading to oil pump failure? Not likely. Not a fun fix though
From what I understand, the engine would see the leak as a loss of pressure, putting more than necessary stress on the pump?

I have to take it to a shop *sigh*. Don't have an engine lift. Oh well, such is life.

If you think about it, very little oil ever ends up under the valve cover and then oil lubricating the valve train isn't under a significant amount of pressure. . A valve cover leak is not going to lower oil pressure. Also oil pumps are engine driven, ie it cannot be overdriven at all because of a lack of oil pressure.

Oh ok, so it may just have been just a casual failure.
