They're different box alignments (Qtc). Basically, they are three different enclosures with different roll-offs and characteristics and thus different frequency responses. The actual names though are mostly dead and gone engineers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Dude post up the graph, I can't visualize it in my mind //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Mike did not suggest aiming for a qtc of .707 for my RL-p.

I wouldn't recommend going with a box volume that reaches the most-often desired Q of .707. These drivers are not optimized for such an alignment, as the 0.707 Q enclosure is much smaller than I would suggest for a quality realized frequency response. Following this typical line of advise will result in your driver producing heavily muted low frequencies - and with a subwoofer, low frequencies are what are the most important!
That was for my sub, but I'm not sure for the RL-i series. Trey803, I would recommend you email Mike about your enclosure size, or just use the specs recommended on the SS website.
