Buss bars?

Well in that case make some! I'm a CNC machinist myself and have my own mill machine at home. I'm not sure if aluminum is a very good electrical conductor.

Alu is a good conductor, it just takes more cross sectional area to have the same resistance and current carrying capacity as copper.

I have a 3 axis with a stepper lathe 4th. I need a new spindle, I ****ed up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

We have Haas EC-500's, VFL6's, Mori Seiki 400 supermills, Mitsu EDM, Flowjets, Mori Seiki lathes, just about anything.

How did you jack up the spindle?

It had a collision with the work moving at almost 450IPM right on the shaft.

It's been out of commission until I make another one, though the bearings are expensive. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif

I think if you made them for popular batteries at first (such as those popular with street-class competitors who have tons of runs for their batteries) to try and sell a good amount to get things started you could have a nice, small market going on them. But i couldnt see a gigantic market for them

I don't like Haas controls, too many buttons. Just personal preference I guess. I have a long list of CNC's I ran or run today which include Cincinnati H5 (Horizontal) Cincinnati Arrow and Sabre, 750 and 1000, Cincinatti Lancer and Lamb, Robodrill w Fanuc controls, Komo w/ Fanuc controls, Fadals, Kiwa fanuc controls, Mori Seiki, Okuma old school mill, and so on. Also have 2,3,4, and 5 axis exp. BTW, headcase, how can you be 24 yrs old and help supervise a machine shop? I actually had to replace the motor on my mill machine. Took too much material and the caps (part of the motor) went bad.

I love the Haas controller. And it has been my understanding that Haas controllers are rebadged Fanucs..could be wrong on that one. Fadals....oh how i hate Fadals. I haven't ran of few that you have listed. Is Mazac still building centers?

And as far as being a supervisor, mainly due to busting my balls and being very efficient and knowing how to get people to get shit done. The company is very aware of hard work and they take care of their employees.

Mazak. Left that one out. I'm not sure if they are or not. That's awesome the position your in. I see so many people BS at my work all the time. I for one cant stand it so Im just working like normal. My wknd job just lowballs peoples wages...and those that have been there a long time are aware of it. Does the company you work for have a website?

We are a government contracted shop so we don't really have any external website. Only thing we have is our job-boss internal network.

You want to see some sample parts? I might be able to pull a few.

Oh. I'm guessing you guys are either aerospace or military. Same as us. We do a little of everything from Boeing, helicoptor, military, defense, etc. We did Cessna but they're laying off people. Sure I don't mind looking at a few sample parts.
