And yet Bush did nothing to better the situation. Why didn't he try to pass legislation to change those equal lending opportunity bills?

You can blame Clinton all you want. He tried to do something in order to help the people of this country. Whether or not it worked out in the long run isn't nearly as important as Bush not trying to make the bad situation(which happened in his terms) any better.

Clinton was a fiscal conservative compared to Bush. Clinton handed bush the longest growth period and largest budget surplus in American history.
Bush, and the republican "revolution" then went on the biggest spending spree in history. Driving up record deficits durring a boom economy.

Oh... it was the intertubes! It had nothing to do with Bush running up record deficits and ballooning the size of the national debt. It had nothing to do with Clinton leaving office with a record budget surplus and a negative inflation number where the dollar was actually growing in buying power.

Being fiscally conservative had nothing to do with it. That's why bush wasn't a fiscal conservative, because that doesn't work. [/sarcasm]

If you don't believe at least a portion of the growth was due to the internet, then I have nothing else to say. I do like his push to limit welfare benefits though.
