Burning Xbox Games

You can't just copy them. You have to have a modded XBOX. FTP to the xbox copying the game from there. THen you have to use, i think its called, an ISO program that'll change the file so the xbox can read it. THEN burn it. Atleast thats what i gathered from when i researched it awhile back.

"

1. Nero Burning Rom v5.x.x (or any iso burning prog, I recommend Nero 5 though).

2. a blank cd-rw disk, if you find any cd-rw with data on it you can use Nero to delete the info (Up where you find File and Edit, go to CD-Recorder>Erase CD ReWritable...). Memorex, Maxell, and Imation should do fine, along with some other well-known brands.

3. Download the latest version of EvolutionX, it's what is called a "dashboard" which acts a sort of operating system for your xbox. Although you can choose whatever dashboard you want, I *HIGHLY* recommend it for n00bs.

You can find it here:

#xbins, read the tutorial on how to get there here:

#xbins

4. Your preferred BIOS. In this tut, and recommended by me, we will use xecuter 2 4981 BIOS. Also found on #xbins

5. Craxtion, which makes your required dash files into an ".iso", which is sort of like a .zip but can be read by the xbox, we will talk more about that later though. You can find it here:

Craxtion

6. a "dummy" or "padding" or "fluff" file, it has many names, but the purpose of this file is to beef up the size of the disk to make it more readable for the xbox becuase the required files for the .iso are very small.

To make a dummy file, simply zip up nero.exe (again not required... but recommended) by right-clicking nero.exe and choose winzip>add to nero.zip...) (requires winzip). Put this into whatever folder you extract your EvoX (EvolutionX) files.

7. You may need to use winrar and winzip to extract some files

8. FlashFXP (to connect to your xbox from your pc)

Its a lot of work at first, but most say you get into a routine and can do it fairly quickly after that. I just never took the time.

That sounds pretty complicated... I thought i've seen programs that let you copy Xbox games. I mean you can download emulators and play the xbox games on your computer, isnt there software that lets you copy them?

Oh and wouldn't you have to use DVD-R's or RW's rather than CD-RW's... CD-RW's dont have very much space on them.

the ISO is a very compacted file, for lack of better words. Its like winzip for Xbox. MS uses them on their windows install CDs.

I think playstation is a little easier. and Dream cast was the easiet.

Dreamcast had no protection at all! It was great! It is easier to upgrade your hardrive and copy them to it. Thats what I did and my games run and load noticably faster! All the games that I own, not the ones I rented with the Blockbuster game pass and did not copy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
