I would say a lot of it depends on the type of install you are planning on. If you have room for a big arse box, the BTL would be alright. If you only really have room for 4 cubes or less the DD would be a better choice. BTW, the DD won't be any louder than an AQ HD3, unless you can benefit from the added coil selection. If you need 1.5 coils or higher, the HD3 will do anything a 95 will do.

In a daily, normal set-up I doubt someone is going to notice the difference in loudness.

i have about 13-15 cubes to work with but i dont want the entire ext cab to be a box. with that bein said i went to mylocal dd dealer and her pretty much bashed aq and all their products wne i went to get a better speaker wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif so im just ind of confused on where i want to take my system i started off just wanting a loud as balls daily beater and now im chasing numbers

Well just for your info my BTL hits 143 in a box thats too small and tuned to 34hz.

Running off a herc XX. In a better setup it can def get better, I love my BTL.

It is only available directly from AQ, so there is no dealer markup, and no inflated prices. Dealers are usually only concerned with lining their own pockets, and they see AQ as a threat, because they fear that if everyone finds out about it, no one will buy their DD stuff. Sorry if this comment offends any DD dealers that read this, but I feel it is the truth. I know multiple DD dealers that feel this way.

The RDs are the same a the Atomics correct,pretty loud subs. BUt both subs have the ability to hit 145 without a thought.I perfer the overall sound of the AQ/DD subs ,they play the music the way it want it,the hd3 is my sub of choice,and dont want anything else other than Tc 5200,DD99,and would love to play with 18" BTL/Solo X.

The DD dealer u speak of,is that the one in Gonzalies?And if u decided to go with a HD3 again give me a pm and I will save u a few bucks.

yeah man it is gonzales their prices are becomig insane on evrything went in their yesterday to get a quote on a box FOR A SINGLE 15 i told him my goal and his response was dd will do the job i told him i dont want to runn dd then he replied with a box to fit in my truck was going to be 600 fawkin dollas wen the last ox ihad made their for my mustang only cost me the buildin materials and a 50 dollar labor fee //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
