the tinsel leads on my CVR 12 broke. what can be done with it besides throwing it out? i don't wanna fix it myself but is it worth putting up for sale or something?
the leads came off the post by the terminal. i'm not sure but there may be a problem with it. The amp smoked and after i checked out the sub the leads on just that one had snapped. the sub originally was in a lot further than it should have been so it may have been messed up from the beginning.
what could have happened is the leads snapped so the load was brought from 2 ohms with 2 subs to 4 ohms with one sub. then the snapped leads could have touched bringing the ohm load back to 2 and it was too much of a current draw too quick. i really don't know.
i just wanna get a new sub to be sure so i don't snap more leads or smoke another amp. the other sub i have has been fine from the beginning even when i ran it as a single.
should i just solder it and sell it? or should i just sell it as is and let someone with more soldering experience fix it?
