Breaking Gelcap of medicine

They are packaged that way for a reason, don't mess with it. If you take it out of the gel cap then it won't be administered the way its supposed to, and you won't get the effects of the medicine. Trust me.... I'm a pharmacist (in training //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif hah I always wanted to say that...)

Will it be too strong or will it change the chemistry of the medicine making it unsafe?

I doubt it'll make it unsafe or change the chemistry of it, but it won't be absorbed the right way. Certain medications are meant to be absorbed through different methods to maximize the efficiency of the meds and make it work the best way possible.
