If you own a 1999-2004 JGC 4.0L And looked for a H.O. alt, I'm possitive you have ran into trouble finding one due to the voltage regulator on the Jeep being controlled by the ECM..
This alternator comes with everything needed to solve that problem. The adapter furnished tricks the ECM into thinking it is still controlling the Voltage, while the internal voltage regulator (in alt) actually does the job.. Factory alternator Never charges above 13.6v. This alt keeps steady at 14.8v.

side note... This alternater is NOT a rebuilt alt. Everything is brand new, including the case with is manufactured by Mechman. This altis a BNIB replacment alternator for one that was lost during shipping. Never been installed.
