I bought this Kicker subwoofer to play free-air (infinite baffle) unfortunately it does not fit for my application. Besides being able to play free air, this subwoofer was designed more for sealed and vented enclosures.
Kicker Comp 071C104
Picture borrowed from crutchfield but I can take some pics if anyone shows interest.
Basic specs:
# 10" 4-ohm subwoofer
# polymineral cone
# double-stitched foam surround
# suitable for free-air use
# power handling: 50-150 watts RMS
# peak power handling: 300 watts
# frequency response: 30-500 Hz
# sensitivity: 87.3 dB
# top-mount depth: 5-1/16"
# sealed box volume: 1.0 - 2.4 cu. ft.
# ported box volume: 1.25 - 1.75 cu. ft.
This subwoofer gets pretty rave reviews all over the place and I was really looking forward to fiddling around with it. Too bad I can't.
I'm selling it for $50 shipped. That's the best price you are going to get anywhere right now for this sub brand new.
Although I will trade for a good 8'' subwoofer (preferably 4 ohms) that can do free-air. The 8'' version of the subwoofer I'm selling would probably be ideal. Thanks.
