i never used it so i don't know but the eq is before the amp and boost is voltage i think

if you say it has up to 4 volts thats cool thank you for saying that don't say that on the box and i don't have time to read the paper work

all i know is this is a great item alpine makes works good with your dvd player and can get dolby digital 5 channel

and for the price you won't find a better deal anywhere for a new one
