The Purpose of this thread is to post those problems than you have spent hours trying to figure out and would not normally derive the solution to;

The Problem:

Had subs that were going WOO WOO WOO WOO everytime the HU was turned on, wheather the volume at 0 or near max, the car was on or off it still did it.

The Solution:

Wrap some bare wire around the metalic part of the RCA's and ground that to the HU, Another solution would be to ground the casing of the HU to its current grounding point, or both.

haha wow helpful already.. have that problem but just figured it was the HU cause its taking a shit on me as it is so i just blames the deep random thumping on that.

but hey im sure we all got some random stuff to add..

like..

Problem: components seemed to be almost dead, vely low output, very shitty sound. and when you turn the volume up past 3/4 it went to almost all static and sounded horrible. noticed some sort of burning smell bout couldnt quite tell what it was or where it was coming from.

solution: bad line output converter. a new one corrected the problem right away

ps: dj torns avatar = teh win

iv allways grounded the deck straigh at the amp. never ever had any noise/problems, try it

also when running 2 or more amps, use a relay too provide a better turn on, so its not so hard on your deck.
