bostons and blaupunkts

i have bostons in the back and some cheap blaupunkts in the front for now, i can crank it at 30 and it sounds really good and clear, and really screams but after about 15 minutes it starts to quite down and sound realy muddy and distored, almost like a small amount of static, i cant figure it out and its really buging me.

what do you think?

probably clipping the amp? maybe jus a crappy song?

yeh im not amping the speakers, just the sub, the speakers sound really nice for coming off the deck but after a while its like shit? would hooking negative and positive up backwards have any effect on that?

1.) Yeah, put the Bostons up front.

it could be heat, i filled the doors with polyfill, and that might hold in alot of heat they produce at high volumes.

The polyfill isn't really helping, get rid of some of it.

Boston is a higher quality, always.

About the only redeeming quality for the Bosch components (they're made by Bosch) is that they're durable and waterproof. Doesn't count for a **** thing if they sound like crap, though.

yeh they came out of my boat, but i didint have anything for the front and there alot better then what was in there stock.

I have to disagree. Blaupunk have some decent quality stuff for their velocity line.

Not sure about the current stuff, but the older Velocity line was solid.

The speakers aren't the problem. The HU amp heating up is. Get a real amp.
