Boston SL60 vs Cadence ZXC-6

I don't a place to hear the Cadence (and I typically like to hear speakers before I buy them) so I thought I'd ask around for opinions.

I can get each set for the same price. Both New and/or Demo with full warranty.

Anyone heard the Cadence, and hopefully the Boston and can give opinions, observations?

They will be ran with an XTANT 4.4 amp.

I had the Boston SL60 and SL50 I hated them. Tweeter was harsh and the mid was just not what I thought it should be. I am a fan of the Cadence amps but those comps look no better that the Boston SL series.

Even if you are getting a super good deal I would go a different route.

My pics in the budget category:

Pioneer 720PRS-The SL or Cadence are no where close to these, mid, tweeter or x-over wise.IMO

Crystals if you can find them

For 250 there are some good CDT's out there also.

Don't get me wrong I like some of the Boston stuff and Cadence stuff just nothing you listed especially not for $250.00.

These are a **** good deal almost steal at these prices. Check them out. For a little more money you are getting alot more. Bang for the buck right here.IMO

also around that price range there is the Rainbow SLC265s and Focal 165cv1s

and I will x2 the PG RSds and Pioneers!!

But however if you like the sound of the Bostons, and can get a nice deal on them, go ahead and get them, i cant speak about Boston, because I havent heard them, a shop near me might become a dealer soon, but I have heard good things about Boston products here on the interent!

Good guy right here. If you get a sweet deal on the CVL6K now I would run those from cadence.IMO

Jason thanks again on the amps. They are very good, put out good clean power and my buddy really likes them. Got another buddy coming you way it looks like for two more amps.

I can get either set for $100. Hard to beat the price... I like the Bostons' but never heard Cadence... no one in AZ has then setup to listen to.

For the price I would still take the PGrsd set for about $95.00 shipped. To me there was no comparison between the SL60 I had and the Rsd I put in a buddies truck.IMO
