well I went for them. I have been looking at front towers for a while and have settled on the VR2's. I listened to them a few times and really liked them, especially for the cds I took to demo. And as for movies, they produced very well too. Now once I get them home and hooked up I will provide a better opinion on them.

I also got the VRC center channel to pair with the fronts.

Now to get some good surrounds and build a sub.

so DIY HT sub builders, let's get some recomendations please.

Budget for sub:

Take that Mag out of your car and put it in your house... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Are you looking for something to hurt the neighbors or just to have a nice fill in for the Low frequencies below 40Hz? What receiver do you have?

hahahaha..... yeah right, I could not live without my mag in my car. I absolutely love it!

thanks. I will check them out.

I love Stereo Integrity products though. This is my 3rd Mag (have had every version) and love the shit out of them: build quality, sound quality, loudness, and service can't be beat.

Well over the weekend I got the BA VRC center channell and VR2 front channels speakers delivered and hooked up. The only thing left for me to do is mount a shelf above my TV for the center channel to get better imaging from it. and the fact that it wont fit in my stand with the rest of my equipment.

Overall I am very pleased with this front 3 setup. Movie details are very accuarte, sharp and fill the room. The VR2's dual 6.5 woofers perform much better in the low range than I expected and heard when demoing. I am quite impressed with their lowend reproduction. However I do still need a strong sub. The VRC center channel is extremely nice, loud and crisp. Concert DVD and music cd playback on this setup is great. The Last Waltz on bluray really came alive with these three.

I definatly need more power for these three speakers though. So I am scratching the Onkyo 605 off the list and going to drop the extra cash for the 705 to get the extra 40 watts/ch.

Next up: gotta build a sub enclosure and get a SI BM 12" dropped in, along with a set of surround speakers. Right now I am just using some old KLH for rear surrounds. they do the job, just nowhere near the detail I am looking for. Probably going to stick with BA and get a set of the VRX's.

NO. I have an Onkyo 5.1 receiver. Its just my rear surround speakers are not too great, and the front three just absolutely fill the room with sound. I mean, they do the job of surround duty on most movies, etc... just not quite good enough to keep up with the front and center.
