Hi,

I went and heard the Boston Acoustic Pro 60 speakers today - very nice... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Any recommendations for a speaker like the Pro 60 with a little more bass?

Whats wrong with the pro60's bass? Very very nice set of drivers! What they asking for a set?
Nothing, I mean the sound stage was incredible....

I was just wondering if there might be a speaker out there that would give the incredible sound stage of the Pro 60 and have just a little more bass...

They were asking full retail $599.99...

I love my pro 60 mid bass. I have them crossed at 80 hz so their is no bass to speak of. If your not running subs listen to pioneer revs. If you can fit 6x9's try out those from the same two companys. I wasnt impressed with the midbass till I deadened the crap out of my doors, and I mean deaden, I must have spent what the speakers cost in deadening, baffels and ensolite, not counting labor. Another important thing to consider is power, they can handel 200 real watts. Your looking at $350 for the speakers, $300 for a good amp and $200-300 for the install materials. Thats some bucks right there, now if you want better? Break out another $300-500 for a really better sounding setup.

I only listened to the Pro 60s, meaning fronts...

They did have INCREDIBLE imaging and sound...

I guess with the addition of the 6x9's in the back, I should be fine.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Plus the 5.25" in the rear doors and the sub....

How did you install them and what amp is powering them? What is the HP frequency?

Without more info it's hard to tell if the speakers or your set up is the problem. The best speakers on earth still won't give you more bass if they are not installed and powered right.

I just listened to them at the store...

I think hertz MLK165 is what u're looking for. It does great midbass i mean i was blown away at running this pari at FULL or crossover at 40hz without a problem. The more power you put into it the better midbass response it has. The midbass is so strong that my fully deaden door still leak out alot of music outside the car rather than the sub in the trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:D:D

Get it and u wont' regret it.

Hmmm, lots of good reviews on the net that I found...

Just can't seem to find anyone that carries them, or any internet sites that sell them...?

He only demoed two different speakers, the Pro 60 and the Boston Acoustic ones right beneath the Pro 60.

The imagining was so much better on the Pro 60 I really didn't even listen to how the bass was on the ones beneath...

Looking back, he almost made a point of not playing them very loud... even though I brought in my own CD to listen to...

I have been reading on the net that there are a few people that felt the same way I did, stating that the Pro 60 didn't have very good bass...

I did read on the net that the hertz MLK165 that the other posted stated were very good and had a lot of bass - but I cant seem to find them for sale on the net, or in a store, and their website doesn't list a US distributor for their products...
