Couldn't agree more. My s10 has a 105 amp.....my Tahoe needs a bigger one and I want a bigger one.
Maybe check out the ones B&R alts has for more amps and better price than auto parts store ( I have one on my truck to run truck electrical and it’s doing well for the price and also hit up Jonathan Patrick at CES he has some lower cost options too and better quality but more cost probably.

CES I'm very interested in and the prices compared to other competitors is what's attracted me. However, I'm gonna have to wait on that. Prob search for a used one or auto parts store special for now to get buy until Christmas is over and regain my $$ again lol if you know what I mean. From the sounds of it from work, sounds like the overtime will come back strong.

Oh ya....just to let you know, I re-connected with someone I know after 23 years who has massive DC audio gear....walled subs, monster amps and I know nobody that has a loud groundpounder near me. Gonna have to check it out.

@los33 alt issues. My old one in my Tahoe finally gave out. Ever since I've bought the Tahoe, never replaced the alt...so what 10 yrs ago lol. Should take me no longer than an hr to swap them out. Told the wifey to get a 140 amperage one from Oreilly's. All ready to put in when I had the new one in my hand and spun it by hand...ssccrrreeeeeaaccchhhhh yeah, the outside fins were scraping on the outside of the casing. Time to get another. Got a 2nd one....dam harness won't plug into the alt...wtf??!?! Come to find out the harness is small oval shape while the new alt has a rectangle one....yet on the website it says that particular alt should fit my Tahoe. So Imma go back the 3rd time and i ain't gonna be happy about it. One of 2 things is gonna happen: get the 105 amp one ehich is stupid since my s10 has that amperage,...I would have expected a bigger vehicle, SUV, to accept a bigger alt....or see if they have some sort of harness from oval to square to use the newer ho alt.

Get one from a suburban model instead which should have same plug and higher amperage.

Man you replied pretty quick!! Interesting,...that doesn't say on the website at all. Just gonna bring in my old one and show them I need the factory harness to fit the opening. I will ask about the suburban tho while there.

We have nothing but mills...and cut a shitton of aluminum. Simple stupid mistakes. 1 particular guy forgot to tighten clamps, hit cycle start....you can pretty much guess what happened next!!

What field of work this time?
