Without Remorse-Tom Clancy is a pretty good read. He gets a little caught up in technical details but a great story.

The Ten Thousand-Micheal Curtis Ford is retelling of a greek classic through the eyes of the main charactor's slave. The orignal is true story believed to be an autobiographical account written under a pseudonym.

Ludlum's Bourne series are pretty good. the second took effort to finish, but help make sense of the thrid and final book (atleast by the original author).

The Road to Gandolfo-Robert Ludlum is a pretty funny. He originally wrote under a pseudonym because it isn't the serious conspiracy that he normally writes.

I bought my daughter the Hunger Games books and kind of got ****** into the first one and I've read all of them now. I know they're probably a little feminem but really fast reads! Patricia Cornwell and Tom Clancy are great for medical and political thrillers. And John Sandford is a good author for crime books. Most of his stuff takes place in Minnesota. Getting a good book is like Hit or Miss to me. I've gotten books off of great ratings and hated them and I've gotten books that have gotten horrible ratings and loved it. Just depends on personal preference I guess....

Check out The Seven daughters of Eve. Its about DNA research and the original 7 species or cultures of humans.

Or The Fly Boys. Its about WWII Fighter Pilots who were POW's. A few of them were eaten by the Japanese holding them captive.
