The whole reason the lower quality VHS beat out betamax was because you could record on a VHS and you could record **** on a VHS.  If Sony really is refusing the **** industry, they are dead. I don't know the figures but if 97% of the internet is ****, you can imagine the video recording industry holds an astoundingly high amount of it, too. If they just released the format openly for everything, it'd be a heated battle for a long time and would boil down whoever got enough advantage to release cheaper mass produced hardware.</p></blockquote><p></p>
