blown?

when I turned my truck on and turned my volume up my apxx made a couple of loud pops, and now whenever I turn the knob up on the remote for my saz the cone pushes out and then goes back in and then starts to play again... Is it blown?? thats my guess.

sounds to me like its the amp outputs. i had an amp that when the outputs blew the sub pushed out fully and returned to normal then made popping sounds and my protection light on the amp would flashed red everytime it popped

Ill switch the speaker wires to the other outputs and see.

dont use the remote, disconnect it and use the gain on the amp and see if it does it.

Because you're completing the circuit. Dont do that.

Could be a bad gain knob? They aren't always the most well built of things.

I never install them.

The only reason I bought one was so I could mount it on my center console and if I pass a cop I literally roll my thumb and it turns it all the way down....maybe I'm just lazy but it's so convenient not having to even move my hand haha
