I was using this amp to temporarily power a JBL sub at 4 ohms. Well one of the tinsel leads broke loose from the sub and shorted out on the sub's frame and caused my amp to go up in smoke. I bought from an unauthorized dealer a few months ago so unfortunately there is no warranty coverage. I only see a few damaged parts which are shown in the pics. Do you think this will be worth getting repaired?

as huge as the pics are, I guess I'll be the first to say thanks for posting them. Of course, when the pics are fully loaded, my browser automatically shrinks them to good sizes, so they look great.

The transistor hold downs on these are actually kind of cool. They are little heatsinks in themselves. Nice touch. Hard to tell from the pics but the fets all appear to have their individual legs insulated. Another nice little touch. Should help keep a stray piece of wire from shorting out the fets should it ever make its way into the amp.
