alright, give a bad kid a good christmas present, and this is what you end up repoing when you have to go get the car with a smoked clutch out of a church parking lot. enough disfunctional B.S. ive got a blown M2 that i will sell for $150. gonna try and sell it for a week or two. if there are no takers, im gonna have it repaired. ive already got 2 guys lined up that are sure they can fix it. they guess $150 or less for the repairs. my regular guy is to busy. and im sure Chris at db-r could handle it also. these are great amps! 1700watts at 1ohm all day long. i dont know how he popped it really. unless it had something to do with the broken RCAs? i dont know or i would fix it myself LOL

the issues here are obvious...

poor little diode...

slave output broken clean off...

only thing holding the main RCAs to the board is the ground pin...

and another angle of the crispy critters...

all the screws had vibrated out of the end-caps except the ones that went into plastic. hence the broken RCA jacks. they were the only things holding that end of the amp together. and the amp itself? well a well built custom 15" capable of handling 1700watts for hours on end, and a stupid punk kid with the gain AND volume turned all the way to the right. i swear the first time that kid listens to me im gonna keel over dead. these M2s are built like tanks and put out stupid crazy power for their size. i would really like to fix it. but ive already got a dozen other projets i could really use some extra $$$ for. so, $150 and somebody else can fix it.

ya, no kiddin'! this would have been the last amp i ever needed if i was into SPL. no its not 3500watts, but its an honest 1700 in a SAZ125.2 sized package. how could you go wrong. ill go snap a pic of the top right now. considering all the shit that was bouncing around in that trunk its pretty good. 9/10 or better for the sink. the endcaps are 7-8/10 due to loose screws and massive vibration from 140deebeez for hours on end. BRB........

werd. should be able to be retapped i would imagine, just use some new screws. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ill be awaiting photos.

first up, here is the sub that could hang longer than it:

both cols still read 2.3ohms. its got some scratches, and has been through a couple different owners. but this thing is a monster. in 3.5cubes tuned to 30hz (slot port) it could easily take my breath and cross my eyes. it may be for sale also.

and here is the amp:

pay no attention to what looks to be scratches in the angle shots. i dont know what they are, but there are no scrathes. the heatsink is REALLY nice.

here it is when i first installed it christmas time 08":

first sub was an RE SX (original model):

that lasted about 2 months and he smoked the sub, and he went subless till this past christmas. got him the 15" pictured above and i dont know how long the amp lasted after that? him and i have had a major falling out and i really dont care LOL

i talked to Kevin at DD yesterday about it. he said, "no biggie! send it back. we can fix it no matter what the problem. and we have some better parts available now so we do a few upgrades while we are in there." so, i asked price and he said "right around $100 unless it needs something major like a torroid." so, i am gonna bump it till the end of the weekend. give somebody else a shot at fixing it and having a great amp for cheap (cause i really dont need it, i just really like it). if it doesnt sell by the end of the weekend, im gonna send it off to DD. if somebody wants it to repair i could ship it directly to the repair facility to cut out the cost of one shipment.

alright boys! $120shipped !!!!!! think about it, DD told me it would be a $100 repair bill (with some upgrades) so, after shipping and everything you could be into a basically new M2 for less than $250. i could ship straight to DD for you to cut out one way of shipping. $120shipped!
