I've had this thing since June. Bought it for my old setup, turned out there is a loose piece in the cone. If you turn the sub you can hear something clanking around. Took it to an RE dealer and they said the sub is fine but whatever is in the cone is causing the coils to read some crazy impedence.
I have *heard* that it is possible to do a partial recone on the MX's (only remove the front of the cone while leaving the surround intact I believe) and remove whatever is causing the problems. In that case you would have a beautiful 100% working MX. Of course you could always recone it entirely and have a new sub.
For the record this sub has worked. I had it installed for a few hours and it sounded AMAZING off of a power acoustik a3000db at 1 ohm.
Great sub for a resonable price here guys...Pics coming shortly.
Also it will be shipped in the origional RE mdf container.
Asking $200+shipping OBO.
