Message: <blockquote data-quote="kbmukdk2316" data-source="post: 7081812" data-attributes="member: 627178">i have a 500ma glass tube type fuse on the remote wire of my head unit (from factory) my amp all of a sudden died and i thought it had just bit the dust so i got a new one. i hooked it up and it also didnt turn on. i used a DMM to test the power line and remote line i got close to 13 off the main power from battery and i got 0.01 off the remote line so i pulled my head unit and the fuse on the remote wire is blown. why would this of blown? what should i do before replacing the fuse? and is another 500ma a suitable replacement or should it be bigger? (idk if the previous owner of the head unit at some point replaced this fuse with an incorrect one)thanks!</blockquote>
