first off, hi to everyone since im new here.
i blew my 2 15" Volfenhags today on the way home from work, they were in a sealed enclosure in the trunk of my 97 grand am. being pushed by a 5-6 year old memphis mcd 1100 at 1 ohm....
believe it or not i surprised myself and alot of other people with those subs, at 90$ a piece who can argue??
but now i'm having a hard time deciding what I want to replace them with, i had the volfenhags facing up towards the 6x9's since i only have 14.5" from floor to deck. now i know that that prolly was not the best way to go but i had to get them to fit... i want to get 2 12"s in a ported box, ive never had a ported setup but i listen to pretty much all rap so i hear its the way to go....
I want this sh!t to be as loud as possible with the amp that i have, i've narrowed it down to a couple options, lmk what you think...
2 12" memphis c3 in the memphis ported box.
2 12" image dynamics idmax in a sealed box.
1 12" fi btl in a ported box.
i just want to get this right the first time, i want this to slap as hard as possible while still sounding good, i'm sure all of these will sound better then my volfenhags did...
or if anyone has any other options feel free to throw em' out there, remember im working with a grand am, not a suburban! haha
