I've been running two EU700's 6.5" subs for a few months now and I think I just smoked one. The substage when attached to the amp will send it into a short protect but disconnected the amp (and everything else) works fine. I can feel the VC scraping on the motor structure when I push it in. Anyways, now that those are toast I'm looking for a 6.5 sub replacement:) Right now the box is 1cube, ported to mid 30's. What I'm thinking I'll do is seal up the ports, cut two more holes, and run 4 tang band 6.5's. Each requires .25 of space sealed so that should work fairly well I think. The power I have to work with is 75x2@4; 150x2@2; or 300x1@4....I would imagine that I would run two in parallel off each channel so each of the 4 gets 75RMS. The questions I have are.... 1)How do you think this will compare to the ported ED setup I was running in terms of SPL and SQ 2)What else should I be looking at in terms of 6.5 subs?
