Check out some of Kenwood's stuff. They sound good and have a pretty small price tag.

I would really look into the Kenwood's. They sounded better than Infinity's at the low to mid volume level, but the Infinity's had a clearer high end. I dont think you can get the same speakers as mine that cheap cuz i thing they were last years models and were priced so they could get rid of em all.

i dont want to get those audioahns anyways cause i dont want the same system as u.

but my dad has a set of kenwood 6x9's in that little toyota truck along with a sweet pioneer HU and they dont sound very good and he paid like 125-150 for em. either he got ripped off(which is very well possible) or they just dont sound good to me

they dont sound too bad at lower volumes but as you turn it up the sq goes away

maybe if i played with the equalizer some i could get it to sound better cause he lostens to country

Yea, but he is pry trying to push them off of a HU which puts out about 20 watts, you will have an amp, and plus you will have other fill speakers, so you wont have to run every single HZ through those.

No, they are only distorting because the HU is sendind "dirty" watts to it. The amp will be putting "clean" watts. Most of the time, a speaker will distort because of dirty power, not from actually overdriving the speaker.

but it isnt turned up very much to be doing that, in my opinion, it shouldnt be sending that kind of crap power when its only about 1/3 of the way up

unless thats just the way their HU's are

he said look into them and i said i didnt want them because my dad has a new pair in his wifes truck and they sound like crap

and where do you get off sayin i dont know sh*t about them, absiously i have had experience with them and that experience hasnt been good

and like i said before, i dont want the audiobahns because then i would have nearly the same system as his, and by the way his audiobahns do sound good.

How do you think i don't know **** dbhittin? I have read books on and offline, i spend countless hours on the internet reading about this stuff, i scan this forum for hours every night gaining knowledge. I have never directly talked to you in anwyway, so dont think that i dont know **** just because of a brand of speakers i have or recommend. The Kenwood I heard sounded good, maybe choochoo has heard a different model or something, there are too many variables, so i recommended them because of there SQ and price. If you have not heard a brand for yourself, then dont talk **** about them just because of what other people say about them. This is one of Audibahns biggest problems. They actually make great products and can sound awesome if everything is used properly. Alot of people have not actually heard an Audiobahn speaker, and if they have and they like it they might say they **** because they are afraid of other people's oppionions about the company.

Bottom line: Dont bad mouth a company's product unless you have had PERSONAL, FIRST--HAND use with them.
