Ok..

So today I was really bored, and I put 2 "Dual" 12" 8ohm SVC subs in a 3.5cf box tuned to 33hz.

Previously I was using 1 12" Type R 4ohm DVC in a 2.5cf box tuned to 33hz.

The Dual's RMS rating is 300w each.

My amp's "rated" power at 4ohm is 900w, so I'm assuming it should be putting out at least 600.

Rated at 1300 at 2ohm, which is what I was running the R at. So Maybe morel like 1000.

Well with that.. The Duals are getting louder...

Lol, I could have never wasted my money in the first place! haha They both sound like poo, so who the hell cares!
I guess it must be cone area..
but you are running Dual equip //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

So your saying at 4 ohm it is losing over 300 watts, but at 2 ohm it only loses 200 watts? That doesn't really make since.
Honestly I don't know??? Also, I took off 300w for both... Reading> you lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'm just taking off 300 for an over rated amp.. Unless that is being generous of me..

btdeckey- Yes it's very embarrassing I know.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I would just like to try and sell my "R" and get something worth while.. So this is temp.

What? How can twice the cone area possibly result in it being louder?
I don't know... maybe it has something to do with the laws of physics? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
